Stoneware plate made with Jacob’s Stone clay and decorated in Van Wyk’s gestural style of marking with random overlays in copper carbonate and cobalt stains and porcelain slip. Fired at cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere, the resulting purple/red copper colors contrasts with the cobalt line work and white porcelain. It was made in 2022, it weighs 3.5 lbs. and 11.5 ” across.
