I practice gestural drawing in all preliminary and sketch work, as well as in clay surface marks, finished prints and drawings in graphite and oil pastel. My fine art prints in lithography and intaglio etchings are influenced by the essential themes of the landscape, apocalyptic angels, and the human figure. My working methods are driven by figurative gesture and psychic automatism; a freeing of the mind to allow the hand to move subconsciously. In printmaking, I specialize in multi-color lithographs from stone. I don’t overly pre-plan images, as I make changes and additions in-progress, keeping the discovery process fresh and new with each work.
