Red/Blue Sectional Vase w/ Handles

Made in 2024, this piece is 14″ tall and weighs just over 8 lbs. It features Van Wyk’s classical sectional shape and differs in that there are multiple handles and gestural patterns of copper carbonate and cobalt stains creating sculptural, fluid movement. It was fired at cone 10 in reduction which has given the Shanner White glaze an iron oxide dot patina and purple tones of the copper stain.
