Pond tree etching

Originally made on a zinc plate in 2006, by employing hard ground and aquatint methods as a class demonstration for the printmaking class and proofed only. This 4″ by 5″ plate was recently re-discovered and editions were pulled in multiples on rag stock.The image was based on one of the many nature sketches Jake has been filling sketch books wherever he traveled or local scenes for the past 30 years.
