Oak Grove View - acrylic painting

This painting is 11″ by 16″ framed, and the image size is 8″ by 14″. It is an on-site painting of the landform above the pond at Oak Grove State Park in Hawarden, Iowa. Jake rarely paints in acrylic paint and is one of just a few water-based pieces. It employs a warm undercoat of paint in orange, effectively contrasting the cooler tones of blue and green.
