Made with porcelain and stoneware clay wedged together for a spiral effect, called marble ware, it is 12″ across, 1.5 ” high, and weighs 2 lbs. It is glazed with 9A Clear and fired to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere to bring out the tonal contrasts of the two clays. It is microwave and dishwasher safe and is both functional and decorative.
