Large By the Creek etching

Produced in 2009, this 9″ by 11″ single color etching printed in warm black ink and heavily toned with an aqua-tint technique of coating the plate with resin dust and after heating, a stop out of grease crayon is applied to alter the graduated tones in the image. Heavy line etching produced this dense and rich image of the often visited tree site with images in lithography and painting called By the Creek. The original tree was located on the artist’s farm.
